You realize there's only about 20 copies of that disc in existence worldwide, don't you? It's TRUE! No one is finding them in used CD stores in Canada, so that proves it.

Are you asking me? I haven't had a chance to burn Help onto CD yet. I've listened to Rubber Soul twice in the car. It sounds fine to me. Unlike so many at hoffman.tv, I'm not someone who has huge problems with the mastering of the 1987 Beatles CDs I've heard (which would be all but the first four). ...

Now we need the contractor to come forward and identify himself. That would be cool.

I'm sure this kind of thing happens all the time, but how stupid is it for Jackson to actually publicly declare that this is how he is making decisions?

I find it really odd that its head is black even when the strip is in color. Well, that's a daily strip, so it's really only "in color" online, for what it's worth. It seems (based on my very limited research) that he never blacks out the heads in the Sunday strip, while he's completely a...

So I guess I'm just old and stupid, but I can't seem to find the DA version of Help that's out there on usenet. Can someone help me with searching it out: ie, what group's it on, the date it was posted, what's in the header? I'm apparently too feeble to find it myself.

I wonder if more innocent people have been wrongly convicted (and executed) of committing murder as opposed to people guilty of committing murder that get away with the crime? I seriously doubt it, given the amount of murders that occur and the (relatively) small amount of people that are executed....

On a tangental note, I believe in the UK it's per disc, rather than per song. That's how (somehow) we got extra tracks on the UK Who BBC disc. Yep, that's true. In Europe a flat amount of the per disc price is set aside for royalties, so the more songs per album the less each songwriter gets. The l...

BTW, they could've fit the stereo AND mono mixes of Mr. Tambourine Man AND the newly mixed (stereo only) bonus tracks on a single disc, both redbook and SACD. Royalties would certainly fuck up the price I thought royalties were only paid once per song per album in the US (ie, if a song appears more...

Does the Deluxe Edition actually feature the original mix? I thought that had never appeared on CD and the tapes were lost or something.

Re: Dylan's shit albums

Dylan was clearly affected and surprised by the harsh reviews, so much it made him indecisive when finishing "New Morning." For the record, the recording of New Morning was completed prior to the release of Self Portrait, so the reviews couldn't have influenced it. Except I guess for the ...

I have a question. Are the 1987 remixes really that bad? I know they are *different* -- and everyone seems to hate them just because of that, but I've never read a coherent rebuke concerning these remixes. The primary thing I notice is less prominent bass, particularly on Norwegian Wood, You Won't ...

Do people like Tinsley not think global warming exists, or do they just not care? I think the standard conservative position is that global warming has not yet been proven. And as long as there is at least one scientist somewhere in the world who is willing to question it, it will never be "pr...

Badfinger "Complete Ass"?

Regarding the "Complete Ass" bootleg... are the first ten tracks sourced from a needle drop, or simply pirated straight off the Apple CD? If the former, how is the sound?

Is there a reason the duck is named after the president widely considered to be the worst in US history? The duck is named George W. Bush? (insert rimshot here). As far as I can guess, there's no significance. President Fillmore is best-known for the Compromise of 1850, and Tinsley strikes me as th...
