Re: Dear Harry Reid...
Sounds like Manhattan to me. If you want to do anything in Manhattan, chances are you'll be in shouting range of a strip club, an OTB, a bunch of bars, and probably a mosque.

She's a creationist as well. Too nutty even for Karl Rove.

I'm growing weary of so much being dependent on which invisible sky wizard our leaders profess belief in.

Re: Dear Harry Reid...
This is hilarious (from an article back in June). Sunday's crowd included representatives of the conservative Tea Party movement, some of them wearing anti-tax T-shirts that had nothing to do with Ground Zero, Islam or terrorism. "We must take a stand and we must say no," shouted rally org...

Amazingly, we've now reached the point where we're pining for the kinder, gentler Bush Administration. For bonus Bizarro points, this article contains perhaps the first time I've ever seen Grover Norquist make sense. GOP Muslims Fear Failure Of Bush Outreach Efforts After Anti-Mosque Furor Brian Beu...

I'll bet most of those in the second group have never been to Manhattan and have no idea what a "block" means in that context. In fact, I'll also bet most of them despise Manhattan and secretly are not really all that upset that it got attacked. (Cross-reference Ann Coulter's "joke&qu...

Re: Dear Harry Reid...
People don't want to be rational -- they want to fear the Other and wallow around in tribal identification. In this way they somehow maintain the illusion that they are "normal" and innocent and everyone else is "radical" and dangerous. As usual, it's only Jon Stewart making any ...

Re: Dear Harry Reid...
The ridiculous "Ground Zero Mosque" (which is neither at Ground Zero, nor a mosque) kerfluffle is the GOP's preferred wedge issue of this election cycle, and it's working beautifully for them. They've somehow convinced a lot of people that al-Qaeda is planning to bomb the site again and er...

Re: The 2012 Republican Nominee?
Eh, I'd think most people would agree the pendulum is pretty far left of center right now. Maybe you guys up in Wisconsin would call Obama moderate-centrist but that's because y'all live in your own little ideological bubble like the Berkley crowd and the People's Republic of Massachusets. Heh. Act...

Re: The 2012 Republican Nominee?
I'm the kind that want's government out of our wallets and out of our bedroom. The US currently has the lowest taxation it's had since Truman was President , which is reflected in the towering debt. How much farther "out of our wallets" should it go? I'm the kind that wants to see the Cor...

Love the banner, almost as much as I love the head-explosions over the Prop 8 ruling. "Did you know that the evil activist liberal judge (appointed by Reagan and Bush I) is not only GAY, but in a GAY RELATIONSHIP? He just wants the state to officially sanction his butt-fucking! He's biased! He ...

Re: Beatles Capitol Boxes
Right. There was a huge brouhaha when the second box came out because all four albums were digital fold-downs in their mono versions. Capitol said this was an error and replaced Rubber Soul and Beatles VI with the actual mono versions, but left Help and Early Beatles alone since those were fold-down...
