Have either of our two Samsung owners tried playing back a PAL disc on that unit? If so, what's the image like? Anamorphic re-sizing? The Cyberhome that I'm using is pretty bad. Even the NTSC composite image looks compromised. My 2nd generation Toshiba player, which doesn't play much of anything, lo...

Tm Buckley - Morning Glory
Anybody have this 2001 release? Comments on sound quality vs. other Buckley discs? Anyone know who mastered it?

PAL to NTSC conversion - software based.
From what I've heard, this is generally pretty expensive to do in order to get acceptable results. It seems the cheaper programs that do it yield a questionable outcome. The reason I bring this up: I have a few PAL titles that I'd like to be able to watch on a standalone NTSC player that doesn't do ...

It is a bit odd that What's Going On and Mercy Mercy Me were mono singles, and that Inner City Blues would be in stereo on the single...but it is possible. On the other hand, Motown did issue singles in mono until 1972 (as far as I know). You're probably right Andreas that it is just a Motown edit....

Time Will Show The Wiser (mono) Compare the mastering to the version on either of the "Listen Listen" comps (which I believe are more or less the same). Unless I'm losing my mind...this LP version sounds like it's sped-up a hair. Either that, or I'm lacking sleep. And, of course, we know that your ...

Can I conlude from that, that it is a mere edit, and not a dedicated mix? Stereo? And are you sure that this is the single mix? It is just an edit. I always assumed that it was a single version but, now that you mention it, may not be. It's in stereo too. I just always liked the way this one flowed...

Does there exist a single mix of Inner City Blues? And if so, was it ever released on CD? (The Master box set contains the album versions of the What's Going On songs.) Yes, there is a single mix. It was released on CD on the original 80's 2-CD "Anthology" set - the one with the purple/pink cover a...

For me it goes beyond the drums. I think the balance between the vocals and the backing tracks gel better on the mono mix. The vocals sound a bit "naked" on the stereo mix - particularly on the final line. Still cool to hear in stereo... David - that CDR will be great. Here's my current address (i.e...

Ahh, fuck. I totally forgot, sorry. I'll grab them next pass..:-( Any other MP3s from the MGR set requested? Hell...anything. I'd be interested in hearing the sound quality of your sources. "Til the Day After," "Come Ride, Come Ride," "On Your Way Out" are some of my favorites. Again...thanks for y...
