Gerry & the Pacemakers Razor & Tie Reissue

Weighing in at only 16 tunes, this decidedly lightweight affair is still 10 tracks too long. But if you've got to have the hits, this is the collection to get as the tonmeister really did do a bang up job. Too bad he'll never be given a chance to get his paws on two even better known George Martin &...

What's Up With The Media?

In a NY Times story entitled, "In Kerry's campaign, his wife is an X factor," the first three paragraphs explain that due to Heinz Kerry's interest in alternative medicine and reading medical journals, she spotted a potential problem on his prostate cancer screening results and got him to have his b...

Well, if Doonesbury uses it then I guess it's cool. I just think, well . . . OK. Here's what my mother used to say to me whenever I didn't meet her expectations: "Ra-an. I expect more from you than *that*."

Good point. But Bush's recent attempts to mine the 9/11 vein have come up well short of expectations. Could it be that a growing number of Americans have had their fill of 9/11 and how it's been exploited for political purposes? The Republicans will try to milk that cow one last time in August-Septe...

On the other hand, Kerry's record could haunt him. That's not to say it's a bad record (I haven't studied it), but there's more than enough to pick out stuff out of context. This may have been true when all seemed to be going well for Bush. But as there appears to be a growing dissatisfaction, part...

Still wish I could watch this guy in action, but I refuse to install yet another media player. Don't get me wrong: I *love* this McClellan guy and I'd hate to see him go. It's like watching a Dean Martin [WH press] and Jerry Lewis [McClellan] routine, which is cool as comedy teams have become rather...

Go ahead and laugh. But in the long run I don't see how encouraging a bunch of butt-reaming homos works to the benefit of Western Civilization. And I also think it's terrorism.

And I'm happy for you. But I'm unable to see them with Windows Media Player or QuickTime--both of which I have. Don't have much use for RealPlayer. Though it's possible I'd need it to view Major League Baseball streaming videos. Hmmm. Food for thought.

Wow. Democracy in action. The workings of a free press. Are these press conferences aired live anywhere--I'd really *love* to see Scott McClellan in action. As delicious as reading this is, I somehow feel incomplete. Lacking. I WANNA SEE THIS SUCKA DANCE!

"It's the WMD, stupid." From an article by Josh Marshall on why Bush's job approval rating dropped 10 points from Jan. 25 through Jan. 31 in TalkingPoints. http://talkingpointsmemo.com/index.html#shortbio Falling ten points in a week is a precipitous drop -- and it seems to have been picked up in a ...
