The US CD's have the correct mixes, though, including Hoffman's. Did they all use copy tapes?

Who Are You? Well I checked the US WBWB and the West German "Singles". They're both 5 minutes long but they both have the f-word in them. I'm assuming this isn't the single version? I think somebody mentioned that it was on Collection (which I desperately need, hint hint), but I wanted to be sure. W...

Yeah the UK discs all have an alternate Happy Jack and Pictures Of Lily, for some reason. Were these songs recorded at the same time? I guess someone pulled the wrong tape and labelled it "master".

The Who (Again): 5:15 & Who Are You (UK single mixes)

Have these ever been released on CD? Do I need to do a needle drop to have them?

So what about the Au20? Different from aluminum Ryko? Different from Virgin?

I'd rather take an ice pick to the forehead than listen to the O&S remaster again.

It sounds good but there's an assload of dropouts. There's a big long one in "Naked Eye", during the "milk & honey" part.

The Who: Odds And Sods

So I got a German Polydor "Odds & Sods" today, and I was disgusted to find out that it is IDENTICAL, bit-for-bit, to the MCA CD! It even has the same artwork, with the generic criss-cross MCA pattern on the back! According to White Fang, there are two MCA versions and they are both inferior to t...

OK, guys. I checked it out, and much to my surprise, the first mix (MBBB, US WBWB) is the UK single mix. The second mix (Colelction, Singles, Box Set) is an alternate!

Luke - I'm gonna get a copy of the UK "Happy Jack" single off a friend, and compare it to the CD versions, as well as the US Happy Jack LP.

Can you point out an obvious difference in the drum track? Is there a fill I should check out?

Isn't the unedited "Kids Are Alright" on the UK WBWB, and the Dr. Ebbetts "My Generation" as well? I don't think there's any need to use the box set.

THE WHO: UK single mixes (best digital sources)

I want to make a UK singles collection of the Moon years. I want to make it 2 CD's, so I might have to delete a single or two. What would you say are the best places to find the UK single mixes of these songs: I Can't Explain Bald Headed Woman Anyway, Anyhow, Anywhere My Generation Shout And Shimmy ...
