What makes it all the sadder is that all that money and stress is only going to be enjoyed by the lonely audiophile (and sometimes a wife/GF whose only function is to validate -- "even she heard the difference!"). Ryan Exactly. Don't get me wrong - the enjoyment of music is a beautiful thing and it...

Oh boy...this is all too funny. The thing that cracks me up the most about this whole pornographic aspect of audiophilia is that it's always pointing at this sonic nirvana that's apparently achievable. Yet, no one's ever really quite able to get there, and no one really ever has so far. The other am...

My brother swears by Lite-Ons. I've burned CD's on one of his drives and never had a single problem.

Such a good album. Bury me with it please.

Not that I'm planning on checking out of the Hunte Hotel any time soon. I still got to see the rest of this season's O.C.

Need free Windows WMA to WAV converter

Subject says it all. I have a few crippled shareware programs that do it, but I need a good free program. Standalone is preferred, but a plug-in is fine too. I believe Winamp used to do it...but I'm not so sure anymore.

Free is the key. Quality of conversion is important also.

And just to reinforce to notion of an "informed" electorate, let us not forget that Pat won the Washington state, Republican presidential primary in 1988...and actually beat Bush Sr. in a few states as well if I remember correctly. (Iowa comes to mind). Gives man a sense of "comfort" toward his voti...

Aside from full concerts, his best live performance in the last years was for Queen Elisabeth's anniversary, I think it was in 2002. He nailed every song (there were only three or four), and his duet with Eric Clapton is a classic. Probably the best version of "The Warmth Of The Sun" ever recorded....

Could it be that some other band member (Jeff Foskett?) doubled Brian? That's pretty common on Brian's concerts. Normally, I would say yes. But, in this instance Foskett was clearly singing background vocals. At times though, it *did* sound doubled...but not really at the point I mentioned. I was w...

I think it's OBVIOUS that Brian Wilson has mastered the art of ventriloquism. Only a true genius would incorporate that into his act. :? Hehe. I'll say one thing. If it turns out he was lip-syncing, other than a few brief slip-ups, it was pretty much dead on. Maybe, he's found his true calling!

Alright, so I'm watching Leno the other night and they re-ran Brian and the boyz doing God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen from early December. As I'm drifting off to sleep watching Smilin' Brian do his hand-puppet dances, I'm thinking hmmm...he doesn't sound *too* bad. Luckily, my VCR was running. So, I'm ...
