He can't even play a simple 'G' chord right

He's a fret too far up the neck. Nice try by the lackey to move W.'s hand before the shutter snapped.

The poll found that 42 percent of respondents hold strict creationist views, agreeing that "living things have existed in their present form since the beginning of time." Well, I avoid walking under ladders. You're welcome to your superstitions, I'll take mine. A long opinion piece in last Sunday's...

Yeah, The Towering Inferno was a dog, but Newman has proven amazingly skillful at avoiding bad movies, especially for someone of his caliber. Look at his filmography, and the obvious cash-ins are few and far between. Reason enough right there to love the guy.

"Toking up"?

Pretty big talk for someone who's been completely irrelevent on pretty much every level for about 45 years now.

I know they were lightweights, but I listen to The Turtles a lot more than I listen to....well, any other L.A. band of the era, really, including the Byrds and the Beach Boys. The early folky-rocky stuff is hit-and-miss, but once they hooked up with Bonner and Gordon (and subsequently started taking...

The films they did together don't represent either actor's best work, that's for sure. (For Newman, IMO it's a tie between Slap Shot and The Verdict ; Redford? Who knows; it's kinda hard to take him seriously.) But look at Butch Cassidy and The Sting for what they are: entertaining star vehicles wit...

Re Britney, when I checked a few months ago, she'd had something like 20 Top 40 hits, including a dozen Top 10s and three No. 1s.

Whether they've been from three CDs or 30, I'd say she's earned a hits comp.

I'm not the biggest Dolls fan, but I'd love a Deluxe of that album. For all the chaos the band was surely in the midst of, they never sounded tighter. Maybe that was due to Shadow Morton, I don't know, but I love the way that record sounds. I've only heard the vinyl, so I can't speak about that.
