Thanks, John.

Does anyone know if the mono Let It Bleed is a fold down? I've never been able to find a copy of it.

I also don't really like the philosophy. Would ALWAYS encoding at those sorts of bitrates and including a second disc for extras really shoot up costs? No, not at all. Hell, from what I've seen, that's a pretty good description of a typical 2-disc Warner Bros. release. If they can do it (and sell t...

I like the Repertoire discs. I have Five Live Yardbirds, For Your Love and Having a Rave-Up. Yes, Eroc mastered them so there's probably some NR, but who gives a shit? I've always been happy with them. The bonus tracks are nice, too.

Is "Sympathy" the only BB track that has a genuine mono mix? I have a needle drop but I haven't listened to it in ages and honestly can't remember if there were any major differences.

I mean, it's a LOT of DVDs, and I'm bad with movie recall. I can make some sort of list next time I'm there, though. That would be cool. Superbits? Why Superbits? Besides, doesn't Best Buy sell all superbits for $9 now? Yeah, the US ones are super cheap. However, there are some that were only relea...

Does the AOD DVD have the "director's cut" that's on the Hong Kong disc? I've been wanting to get that, since the Anchor Bay edition looks absolutely hideous. I know that Jap. version of Kill Bill is highly regarded. I've never seen any version of the film, though, so I don't know how it d...

The Diablo mono/stereo CD is a real improvement over the WB version. I haven't listened to it in a while, but I was impressed enough that I immediately sold the WB. It's an album that's never going to sound great, but I think they did a nice job on it. In addition to both mixes of the LP, it contain...

I was absolutely stunned when I saw the marquee of the local theater this weekend and it said SCARY MOVIE 4 . Jeezus. I've seen the first one and it's one of the unfunniest pieces of shit ever made. Seriously, it makes those fucking National Lampoon movies look intelligent. I love how the Weinstein ...

Yeah, Street-Legal sucks donkey dick too. "Changing of the Guards" is the only song I can stomach on that one, and it's not even that great. Infidels was produced by Mark Knopfler. 'Nuff said. And yes, COLA, Greil Marcus is the undisputed king of bullshit. I'm still amazed that he managed ...

When I saw the thread title, I thought you were going to dissect Dylan's real shit albums like Saved . There's nothing scarier than his born-again Christian phase. I haven't listened to Self-Portrait in years, because frankly I've had no desire (no pun intended). I picked up a used copy of the CD fo...

Interesting. Those crafty Canucks!

Actually, I did notice that the film begins with an Alliance logo so that makes sense. I have the Canadian Alliance DVD of David Cronenberg's Existenz and it's pretty damn good.
