I'm surprised. I thought *everybody* had at least a couple of Sundazed titles in their collection. But I can see why you wouldn't as the label's pretty much confined to the 60s. The Dylan titles would certainly be of interest to a wider audience, though. And like you, I'm kinda interested in those [...

OK, where was I? Oh yeah, "Big Pink." Well, it's still raining Big Pink at Ron's house. The EMI Centennial vinyl edition won't arrive for another few weeks because I was too cheap to pay for air mail shipping, but the MoFi CD arrived. AND I picked up another Jap issue [EMI Japan]--as there's no obi ...

No, I don't know anything about finding discounted copies of Sundazed product. But shiii-et, at $15 per stop your moanin' and hollarin'--I have to pay close to twice that. [But the high cost of imported vinyl is more than adequately compensated for by the skin found on your average Asian--a silky qu...

Did you ever A/B your LP with the mono tracks on the gold CD?

Er . . . Patrick, I think what P90 *wanted* to ask was "Would you please be more specific regarding your thoughts on the original mono LP as compared to the gold CD and the Sundazed LP [if you've got it]." But then again, I could be mistaken. [smile/wink/wink/whatever]. I'm responsible for scaring o...

Ryan, we're on the same page. I had the same thought re: the Israel/Palestinian "relationship." Twice in the last three days American military has fired into a crowd of Iraqi demonstrators. Yes, that *does* have a familiar ring to it. Imagine how it will play throughout all of Muslimland when pictur...

Sure. The ousting of Saddam has, in a single stroke, undone all efforts up 'till now to keep a lid on the nuclear genie. And as you say, the message is terribly clear to one and all: nuke up or be prepared to ship out. And this being the case, North Korea's stock has risen tremendously in recent mon...

North Korea - Is Diplomacy Dead?

Kim Jong Il is not a mature man. Imagine a pampered thirteen year-old having lived his entire life in seclusion and you get the idea. The last thing in the world you would want to do is back this man-child into a corner as there can be no predicting what he'll do. And not being able to predict what ...

It seems to me if he wanted to boost his ego he would have done whatever he could to save Iraq. Exactly. It would seem that to whatever extent Saddam cares about his reputation, it's his reputation in the eyes of the Iraqi people that would most matter to him. To not put up much of a fight just doe...

This must be it: April 29, 2003 Matters of Emphasis By PAUL KRUGMAN Yeah, Patrick, that's the editorial I was referring to. Reading it again is just so friggin' frustrating. Sure, politicians lie. That's certainly no secret. And of course this editorial is an exception, but generally speaking the r...

Maybe I'm just a nut, but I smell a secret deal being cut at some point. The fact that the whole freakin' Iraqi power structure just up and vanished literally overnight suggests that Saddam and/or his crew were given the opportunity to high-tail it out of town in exchange for not torching the oil f...

Where did you see this [Real Reason for War]? Was it from Ari the Magnificent? I read it in the April 30 issue of the International Herald Tribune--which means the New York Times--in an editorial by Times staffer Paul Krugman entitled, "Bush's weapons of mass deceit." The thrust of the piece is tha...

As I stated before, Saddam may have decided NOT to do anything because he knew that if he did do something like send missles to Israel or blow up oil wells, it would give validity to Dubya's claims. I think what I'm getting at is why in the world would Saddam give a hoot whether or not Bush's claim...

I'm afraid your post doesn't really address my question. Saddam was threatened with extinction. He's been characterized as a monster. So why didn't he do anything "monsterous" before exiting stage left?
