This explains why I haven't heard him on the sports talk radio lately. He comes on the Van Earl Wright show 2-3 times a week, but he hasn't appeared for a week and a half now. Just what we need, another freaky kook from Hollywood.

I think we have found the exact point where we disagree.

I agree, well said.

First, The Nightfly is not a Steely Dan CD. Second, The Nightfly sounds absolutely great, in my opinion, certainly better than most of my Stevie Wonder Cds. There is a buzz at the end of one song on my copy (a German CD), but apart from that, I don't hear any problems. Third, you are telling me tha...

Andreas, the Steely Dan old CDs are better than the new ones? In my opinion, yes! Actually, I should break it down into three periods rather than "old" and "new". First period, sucky inferior masters; second period, better; third period, more or less best. Are you still talking about Steely Dan? Wh...

What a shame. I loved his drum setup, which he played in a standing position. God, Crowded House were funny live, and the music was great.

Plant's lyrics were weak, but I think Immigrant Song was one of his best lyrical efforts. I'm a weak lyricist when I try to write songs, so I might not judge with the best criteria, at any rate. I mostly listen to the instrumentation and beat, I'm shallow that way. But yes, D'yer Maker, Hey Hey What...

I know in my heart I should dislike what Led Zeppelin stands for because they ripped off the black man's blues (and Spirit), but The Immigrant Song rules.

In order to answer those questions, we must presume to know what God's will actually is. What if God doesn't want either one of those things? What if God didn't want her to get sick in the first place? If a drunk driver had killed her in a hit and run, would that have been God's will? If every acti...

Right now, I'm grateful I'm not Terri Schiavo. I blame modern medicine for part of this mess, for its ability to keep people alive far beyond what any rational person would consider living. My co-worker's wife is studying law. She opined: if they really wanted to honor God's will, wouldn't they advo...

I'm furious at this issue. This is a flagrant abuse of the checks and balances system in the United States, and Congress is mucking around in areas which they have no expertise. On the Outside Asylum board, someone wrote a great post about all this: http://www.audioasylum.com/forums/outside/messages...

Incredible album. Bill's drums benefited the most from the 1999 remaster. I'm glad to hear that the '99 CD sounds better than the Island UK vinyl. Considering Simon Heyworth's reputation in certain circles, I myself really like what he's done for the King Crimson catalogue. The latest In the Court o...

After reading all the stories, I don't know who to believe. This is one strange game Hoffman and Linett are playing. Of course, neither side wants to lose, there's way too much pride and ego on the line.

I agree, Garfield has been such a waste for years now.

Ryan, the Peanuts reissue books look incredible. I'm glad to hear they don't disappoint.
