I've got the first issue of the TBC box, and it sounds kind of dull and uninteresting to me. Not exactly bad (and certainly not squashed, since it predated hypercompression), just unmemorable. Inoffensive, I guess you could say. I could throw up a quick MP3 sample if you like. I don't know if the 1...

NB. I made a mistake -- the Owsinski book was on mixing. (He has two others, on recording and tracking, respectively) The other comment by Greg Penny regarding the GD remasters that I remember (I really should just order the book, I'm going by what I read standing in the book store) was that Dudgeo...

Re: Paramount says adieu to Mr. Cruise.

Although Cruise recently topped Forbes magazine's annual list of the world's 100 most powerful celebrities, his latest film, "Mission: Impossible III" opened in May to lower-than-expected ticket sales. Days later an opinion poll showed his star power had dimmed considerably in the eyes of...

No, it does not help. Mine was the LP set and not the CD box. They are worth 80 to 100 now. I got the last one in the store as a replacement, and they never got more, or if a few more arrived, they were not on sale for 49.99. It's all too little too late. Tower is going down now. It may take a few ...

I think it's somewhat of a minor classic. I rate Give Me Love, Don't Let Me Wait Too Long, Who Can See It, Try Some Buy Some, and The Day The World Gets 'Round highly. Those songs still have a smidgeon of that Beatle magic that was absent on his later LP's.. I would also add "Sue Me, Sue You B...

I am still pissed at them for the handling of a return of a Hendrix purple box set I bought. It was 49.99 on sale. I lost the receipt, but has all the shrink wrap with price sticker, all I wanted was an exchange, but they would not budge. My copy had LPs that looked really scratched and dirty. I en...

No, I don't know if the ELP catalogue will be *remastered* yet again.
I might assume so because a 2CD anthology set is coming out in January, but... ?

It is great to see mentioned that unreleased material may be released though.

What do you think comes first: Neil's archives or Beatles remasters? You know... I love Neil but... he's such a pain in the ass sometimes. I've read countless interviews about him and his Archives box. He keeps saying it almost done, but then he changes his mind about this or that, and the bottom l...
