Re: Everybody line up to blow Andrew Sandoval

Just had another listen to the "arthur" deluxe edition and man, does it suck. People actually prefer these to PRT's? Not all people. I found the Kink Kontroversy deluxe edition so bad that I have given up on the deluxe editions as a whole and not bought any of the second three; maybe I tr...

Re: Audio Fidelity - Parsley Sage Rosemary & Thyme

From the Machine Head AF thread over there:
There's a guy posted a comment on the customer review of this on Amazon.com says that AF used 'digital tapes!'
A pity the Gorts have no authority over amazon.com
What a pity indeed. :)

Re: Audio Fidelity - Parsley Sage Rosemary & Thyme

If anyone is curious, "12 Songs" is not derived from the 1980s digital transfer.

lukpac wrote:I don't have either CD, but at this point it seems clear the original CD (or the digital transfer/master used to create it) was used for the AF.
How was this concluded in your opinion? Have you compared samples or was it confirmed by AF?

Audio Fidelity - Parsley Sage Rosemary & Thyme

http://stevehoffman.tv/forums/showthread.php?t=203582 I have written on the other board that I wanted to try to reproduce Jamie Tate's results about the Audio Fidelity CD "Parsley Sage Rosemary & Thyme". I have the AF remaster and the 1980s CD (CBS label, CDCBS 32031, matrix CDCBS-6282...

Re: Sell Out Deluxe Edition

I agree with JWB. I like the packaging, some of the bonus tracks (Sodding About, mono Jaguar) and the inclusion of the mono mix, but the mastering is just as bad as the Quick One stereo remaster or the recent Japanese My Generation remaster. I compared the different CD versions of I Can See For Mile...

Re: Boomer history ends on September 9 (Beatles remasters)

I figure the people who care about the difference are probably going to get the mono set anyway, which has the original stereo mixes. Please excuse me for not reading every word of the press releases, etc. I no long can take Beatles reading in forums. But it looks like you are saying that original ...

I'm struggling to come up with a reason why the McCain camp thinks this is a good ad. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ec3aC8ZJZTc One of the comments nailed it: This is like a political ad out of The Simpsons. "Barak Obama agrees with McCain. Can we trust a man with such poor judgment? Vote McC...

The question itself is debatable. But what I am criticizing is if you post a mixture of incomplete information, educated guesses and pure speculation as fact, and defend it against any doubts with your alleged statuts as an insider.

PS: The remasters were already done. About 15 times.

Do you trust all his info? Does he really know what he's talking about (i.e. no noise reduction on the 1987 CDs)?

Ignorance and trolls on forums

Maybe it was obvious to you for years, but I have found this year in particular, that more and more people post statements, claims, "facts" on internet forums who have absolutely no idea what they are talking about. Since they hide behind aliases and can always drop out of discussions when...
