I'd be interested in some fresh impressions RE: the US vs UK versions of this one ...

I just got my copy of the mono Sell Out from CD Japan last week.

The sound is OK IMO ... Though it's *really* heavy in the low end (but then so is the Classic vinyl version).

This is a Top 10 album for me, so I just had to have this.

Re: Townshend on recording

Great interview. I also like the Gibson and Epiphone J200 series. That body shape suits my strident strumming copied from Don Everly and the Flamenco players of the sixties. I'm surprised to see him mention the Epiphone version of the J200 as well as the (much more expensive) Gibson models I've seen...

True, and it's even more painful on the vinyl version. Which is why I think those who are waiting for the LP edition of MAF to save the day soni...

Sadly, I only have a few of the SOT titles (*cough*). I have the stereo Today/Summer Days twofer, the Alternate Smiley Smile , and disc 1 of the Smile set. I'm still stuck with just those three discs so far. Does anyone have any recommendations for which SOT titles I ought to track down next?
