I've avoided the Dual Disc problem by buying the vinyl. Very quiet, thick (180 grams?) and I'm very happy. Sure, I don't get the visuals that are on the Dual Disc, but at least I can play the audio!!

Just to throw another spanner in the works, on a Wednesday, 12/22/04, I saw a "Crossing Jordan" episode/repeat on A&E that used a female vocal for a version of "Can't Find My Way Home" that was pretty good. I've always loved the music on "Jordan" since it seems to be "close to the bone" of the e...

I remember seeing Mason Proffit several times in Chicago in the early 1970's. In concert they were more rocking than their records. Never recorded, but they did a hellacious live version of Dylan's "Highway 61 Revisited." Also, "Two Hangmen" live NEVER failed to produce several standing ovations DUR...

It seems that these may NOT be in the SACD format (a turn off to me). Also, will the tracks be in original mono? The "5X5" EP (as part of the U.S. "12X5" LP/CD) was in stereo on the recent SACD reissues. And will the next box set include the correct single version of "The Under Assistant West Coast ...

I could be wrong, but back in the '90's, the RIAA determination of whether a multiple CD was counted as one or two or three discs, etc., depended on the list/retail price. For instance, we've all seen the Laserlight multi-disc compilations (4 or 5 CD's for about $20). These count a ONE disc for cert...

As the music division of Universal in NOT included in the sale to GE, this move has nothing to do with the merger (which is not yet confirmed; they are merely talking, albeit exclusively, at this point). There is also question of the "details" of the program, which include stores devoting 25% of the...

Actually, I'm right now listening to a true stereo version of Zoot's "Live At Klook's Kleek" (U.S. Epic BN 26241). Great album. I remember looking for it for several years and finding (sealed, for $1) about six blocks from where I lived, at the time.
