Unversal Remotes
Does anyone here have any experience or informed opinions on programmable universal remotes, like the Logitech Harmony series, etc.? I'm beginning to see some clutter in my living room and am wondering if these things are really worthwhile.

My question isn't if you find them repugnant or not. My question was exactly what power they have to "screw up" the country. Clinton may yet run for president, so she may yet be in a position to do some damage, but today the Democrats couldn't pass anything in the Senate if they wanted to. Moore? H...

ATA vs. SATA
I've been looking into purchasing an additional hard drive for my computer, and have seen some SATA drives available. I looked into the SATA drives a little bit, and liked what I've seen so far. However, besides the obvious speed advantages of SATA over ATA due to a higher transfer rate and less ris...

At a previous job I worked with some equipment and software from Canopus (http://www.canopus.us). This is a few years ago now, but the kit came with a VGA card (in case yours didn't have the right kind of muscle), the appropriate software for capturing and editing, a capture card, and a breakout box...

Ahh, here we go...I was thinking of "Fool In The Rain". Sick of that one. I'm sick of it too. It's one of those songs I got sick of in a hurry. I never felt In Through the Out Door was a very strong album, although "Carouselambra" has grown on my over the years. I think it has more of a prog sound ...

I can't say they've done a whole lot lately, but I do think the movies (yes, even the second one) and albums exposed a lot of people to music they otherwise wouldn't have been exposed to. As far as I know, Aykroyd is still doing his House-of-Blues radio show, exposing a lot of people to music they ...

My parents used to have an Akai (I think this one: http://www.oaktreeent.com/web_photos/Stereo_Tape_Decks/Akai_4000DS-MK-II_Open_Reel_Tape_Deck_web.jpg ), but they were about the only people I knew that had one, so I can't offer any comparisons. I remember it being pretty sturdy and reliable. I neve...
