Yikes, that last sentence means I will probably stick with my Rough Trade discs.

Probably. 28DP looks somewhat older, right? The SRCS discs looked...early 90s-ish. Which titles do you have? The older discs are the 28DP's and the SRCS IIRC are from '94. I sent a PM with the titles I have added to date. The SRCS disc labels are dead ringers for the Anesisni USA discs but they do ...

The Byrds CD's from Japan that I have managed to pick up in the past year are really nice. The look of the disc label suggested that they might be the remasters but upon first listen they are definitely the original versions. The discs I have are from the SRCS and 28DP series.Perhaps those are the s...

The Japan and USA are not the same mastering, that is for sure. I may just stick with the two versions I have unles I see a Euro version cheap.

Thanks

Can one assume that the Japan POCP series WBWB is a digital clone of the WG (European) version? It has the same track listing IIRC.

I'm a Boy and Exciting - The Who - Japan Reissues

I read somewhere that these 2 compilations are being released in Mini LP sleeve format next month in Japan. Has anyone heard any particulars on these discs? Was Astley involved in these?

The Japan limited edition may be another variation. Supposedly it includes one more live track from Lyon (total of 8 ). I don't think so. I think the jam is just indexed on the end of WGFA on the BB bonus CD. I was going by this track listing I dragged off a web page. You just saved me some bucks!!...

Consumer note: get the version Best Buy is offering. It contains the 21-track version of the album (with the extra extended versions of "We Got A Hit" and "Endless Wire"), the US bonus DVD *and* the UK bonus CD all for $9.99. Ryan That is a great deal  Man - it is a shame...

The new "Best Of" that came out on Rhino earlier this year should give a clue to what these new reissues will sound like.

I am definitely holding on to the original CD's.

The Gin Blossoms never recovered from Douglas Hopkins suicide. Their first two albums with his songwriting were superb.

I love what I have heard from this new Harvey Danger. I better get this one.

Their career was "hit and miss" after Learning To Crawl but I would be interested in the bonus material on the other discs should they come to be.
