You might remember Daniels as the writer and singer of "Uneasy Rider," in which he, the protagonist, was a dope-smoking hippie who gets in over his head with the local rednecks. As much as I despise Daniels, it's a pretty damn funny song. In the sequel, "Uneasy Rider '88," Daniel...

Dad of Columbine victim: It's all abortion's fault

Anyone else watch this goofball Monday on the CBS Evening News's "Free Speech" segment? It was Brian Rohrbaugh, whose son was killed at Columbine. According to Brian, here's why it and all other school shootings have happened: This country is in a moral free-fall. For over two generations,...

I made a cassete version ages ago, but I think I had to skip "Everything's Alright" by The Mojos -- that was a tough one to find back then.

I don't have a surround set-up so maybe I'm missing out on Rough Mix's main selling point, but I prefer the old ATCO CD. Not only are the bonus tracks throwaways at best, there are little nitpicky things the reissue does wrong -- like cutting off Watts's snare at the end of "My Baby Gives it Aw...

I wonder if the new edition will include Cash's warning to the sound crew not to bend over. Interesting what they left on that TV show that's never made it to CD before.

I like this album too, but man, you can practically hear the water draining from the well as you listen. I wonder if he ever wished he'd paced himself a little instead of throwing all those Beatles-era songs out on the market all at once via 'All Things.' It was a mighty steep drop from 'Material Wo...
