Yeah, Mantra Audio are alright, I've bought from them. I can't recommend the Audio-Technica AT110E cart (which they stock, I believe it's something of a EU-only model) enough.

ISO Dylan outtakes from '66

Hi everyone I keep finding this set in lossy (MP3) format here and there, but would love to get my hands on a lossless copy, wherever it might be from. Does anyone even know what the disc is called, and (hopefully) where it can be had from? Tracklist follows: "Bob Dylan - Blonde On Blonde Outta...

Normalize only matches peak levels. The average level -- which has far more influence on what we perceive as the 'loudness' -- can still be quite different when peaks are the same. Actually Krab, the particular program I linked to above does RMS normalization, as opposed to peak. from http://normal...

Is there any mastering credit? The regular CD just says Chop Em Out, London, which would make sense. It would make sense if it was Gastwirt, since he's used HDCD a lot. . There's no clear mastering credit that I can make out - "Jimi Hendrix: The Ultimate Experience released under the supervisi...

I'd be interesting in hearing it. I've got the non-HDCD version (at least I'm assuming it is - I haven't put it in WMP to see if the HDCD light comes on or not). I could put up a few FLAC samples then. Mine's the HDCD version for sure - it's not a CD-R. It may take a short while until the samples a...

I'd love to have it, but I was told just last week that our fucking Customs office has decided not to allow optical media to enter the country by mail anymore.. or something to that effect.

Whatever. Carry on.
